The DreamLab initiative was established in 2018. The initiative helps underprivileged youth in the age group of 14 to 18 years find real-world internships. This empowers them to successfully transition into the labour market and make informed career decisions. DreamLab’s, ‘Learn, Earn and Grow’ model focuses on the issues of unemployment and lack of skill-based learning and solving for them.
You can be the catalyst for young India to realise their dreams.
In order to register for DreamLab the students have to be part of the skills@school programme, which is a Salaam Bombay initiative. It helps build skills for adolescents in government and government-aided schools and provides them with market orientation, ensuring that they stay in school and complete their education. The program equips students with soft skills training in several areas, including business etiquette, personal grooming, trade-specific terminology so they are ready for their real-world internships.
From the perspective of business owners, DreamLab provides need-based semi-skilled interns to meet the cyclical and seasonal peak business demands without making them incur any additional costs. You can help us unlock their future by believing in a dream.
The Foundation has partnered with a number of companies, including Future Group and Monginis, where the interns learn industry-specific skills, to reach one step closer to their dreams. Over 100 internships are being offered through the initiative in various sectors- including retail, beauty and wellness, bakery and confectionary, mobile repair, home appliance repair and market research.
The DreamLab initiatives provides the children an opportunity to create their own identity and experience something new. Today you can give them a flavour of how things work in the real world.
Be a part of the DreamLab initiative and #BelieveInADream today! Support them with an internship in your organisation or donate and sponsor an adolescent in the DreamLab programme.
