1) Dr. Sultan Pradhan MS. FRCS. FACS. FCPS.
Chairman, Salaam Bombay Foundation.

Dr. Pradhan, one of India 's most respected surgical Oncologists, treats cancer patients at Mumbai's Prince Aly Khan Hospital , P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Breach Candy Hospital . He has also been the Chief of Head and Neck Service and the Head of Department of Surgery at the Tata Memorial Hospital .

Dr Pradhan's concern about the alarmingly high rate of increase in oral cancer amongst the youth in India led him to lay the foundation for the Outreach programme at the Prince Aly Khan Hospital in 1994.

His vision is to make children the focal point of anti-tobacco activity and he believes that by educating children today, we can protect future generations from the harmful effects of tobacco.

2) Padmini Somani , MSc Financial Economics
Director, Salaam Bombay Foundation

Padmini has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Bombay ( Sophia College ). She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Master's Degree in Financial Economics from the University of London . She is currently based in Mumbai , India .

Over the years, she has committed herself to various causes close to her heart. Her involvement with tobacco-control started at the Prince Aly Khan Hospital 's Outreach Programme in 1999.

Padmini, who spearheads the organization's projects, strongly believes in the inherent capabilities of children to form correct attitudes and be agents of change in society. She established Salaam Bombay Foundation in 2002 to educate children and inculcate a positive attitude among them.

3) Dr Vispy Doctor
Board Member

A marketing consultant by profession, Vispy has brought in a pragmatic approach to the Foundation. He is the head of Ormax India , the country's most prestigious qualitative research agency




4) Mr Aditya Vikram Somani
Board Member

Aditya is a MBA from University of Pittsburgh , USA and a PG Diploma in Business Management from S P Jain Institute of Management and Research. He has ten years of experience in the business of construction, information management and textiles. He is also involved in various social service and educational activities. He is an active committee member of Mahesh Shikshan Sansthan, Jodhpur, which operates 7 educational institutions (colleges and schools), Rotary Club of Bombay, Praja, which works with the Municipal Corporation to create more transparency and accountability and Healis – Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health, which undertakes research and studies on health issues in India
